In the biologist's laboratory
Duration: 60 minutes.
Number of participants: 8 - 15 participants
Recommended for: nature lovers, families, tourists, elementary school students
Briefly about education:
What lies behind the leaves, flowers and roots of plants? Perhaps the historical garden - library keeps many more secrets than it seems at first glance? For just one hour, we invite you to become real naturalists - researchers! We invite you to a live expedition through the green library of knowledge. During the education, students participate in a "scientific expedition" - working in teams, they receive tasks to find, identify and describe plants growing in the Historical Garden of Plants.
We will provide you with magnifying glasses, measuring tools, and researcher's notes, and together we will search for the most unexpected garden exhibits, observe and analyze the characteristics of plants and the environment.
The discoveries that await you are small fragments of clues that lead to a greater understanding of the extraordinary world of plants. Participants learn to systematically collect data and apply basic biological research methods.
After the expedition, teams prepare short scientific presentations summarizing their observations and discoveries. The education develops the ability to observe nature, think critically, and act like real young researchers.
Why is it worth participating?
This is a fun scientific investigation and observation exercise, in which a historic plant garden becomes a laboratory for new discoveries.
