Siberian iris is a plant that grows naturally in the moist meadows and riverbanks of Eurasia. It is distinguished by its narrow, elegant leaves and blue or purple flowers, which add lightness and verticality to flower beds.
In manor gardens, irises were often planted near bodies of water, ponds, or in damp places, where their natural form was well revealed.
In rural homesteads, irises were valued as long-lasting and undemanding plants. They often grew along paths, in wells, or in the middle of nurseries.
Used in urban green spaces due to its resistance and decorativeness, especially in naturalistic flower beds.
Today, Siberian iris remains one of the most important classic perennial flower garden plants.
